Job summary

• Proficient in cost allocations, AFEs, and month-end processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data and prepare monthly journal entries to allocate costs across multiple assets.
• Develop, maintain, and improve cost allocation processes and schedules.
• Support month-end, year-end, and partner audits, including AFE setup and maintenance.
• Track company assets, inventory, and related billing activity.
• Collaborate with engineering and other teams to interpret data and support decisions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data and prepare monthly journal entries to allocate costs across multiple assets
• Develop, maintain, and improve cost allocation processes and accounting support schedules
• Support month-end, year-end, and partner audit activities, including AFE setup and maintenance
• Assist with tracking company assets, inventory, and related billing activity
• Partner with engineering and other internal teams to interpret accounting data and support business decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience within the oil & gas industry
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to learn industry-specific accounting systems
• Knowledge of cost allocations, AFEs, operational expenses, and month-end accounting processes
• Self-motivated with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
