Job summary

Financial Additions is seeking a Staff Accountant with full-cycle accounting experience and Oil & Gas industry background. This onsite role is in the uptown Dallas area, with a few remote days monthly. Permanent position; pay will be based on experience.

Responsibilities include journal entries, month-/quarter-/year-end close, audits support, reconciliations, vendor invoicing with proper coding, vendor management, payments processing, and AP aging monitoring.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in staff accountant role.
• Oil & gas industry experience.
• Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Month-, quarter-, and year-end close duties.
• Support audits by providing requested documentation.
• Review bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Review vendor invoices for proper coding and approvals.
• Manage vendor relationships and master files; resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate weekly ACH, wire, and check payments.
• Monitor AP aging and ensure timely payments with discounts.

• .Coordinate weekly ACH, wire, and check payment runs
• .Monitor AP aging and ensure timely payments while taking advantage of available discounts
