Qualifications

• Current Cosmetology License in the state of employment.
• Current Cosmetology Instructor License where required by state law.
• Minimum of three years of professional cosmetology experience.
• Strong knowledge of haircutting, styling, chemical services, skincare, nail care, sanitation, and infection control.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for teaching, mentoring, and developing future professionals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver laboratory and clinic instruction per approved curriculum.
• Teach safety, sanitation, infection control, and state board prep.
• Demonstrate cosmetology techniques (hair, skincare, nails, makeup).
• Supervise students in student salon and coach for skills and professionalism.
• Evaluate student performance through practicals, quizzes, and exams.
• Maintain attendance, grading, and progress records.
• Prepare students for state licensure examinations and career readiness.
• Participate in faculty meetings and campus events.
