Job summary

Moored Beauty Schools seeks a licensed Cosmetology Instructor to join Nuvo College of Cosmetology in Norton Shores, MI. You will deliver classroom and clinic instruction, mentor students, and ensure compliance with state regulations in a positive learning environment.

Under the Campus Director, you will monitor progress, maintain records, supervise clinic activities, and collaborate with fellow instructors to enhance educational quality and student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan Cosmetology Instructor License and Cosmetology License.
• Teaching, training, mentoring, or salon leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cosmetology theory, techniques, and state board requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and practical instruction in accordance with curriculum requirements and state board regulations.
• Demonstrate cosmetology techniques, theory, and industry best practices.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to support learning and growth.
• Monitor and document student attendance, grades, and MPAs.
• Administer and grade assignments, practical evaluations, and examinations.
• Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with school policies and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise students during clinic floor activities and practical training.
• Foster a positive, professional, and inclusive learning environment.
• Mentor and motivate students to achieve academic and professional success.
• Collaborate with Campus Directors and fellow instructors to enhance educational quality and student outcomes.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
• Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and state licensing requirements.
