Job summary

Moored Beauty Schools seeks a licensed Cosmetology Instructor to educate and mentor students at Traverse City Beauty College. You will deliver classroom and clinical instruction, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with state regulations in a supportive learning environment.

You will supervise clinic activities, assess MPAs and exams, and collaborate with the Campus Director and fellow instructors to enhance education quality and student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Cosmetology Instructor License (Michigan)
• Active Cosmetology License
• Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or salon leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of cosmetology theory, practical techniques, and state board requirements

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and practical instruction in accordance with curriculum requirements and state board regulations
• Demonstrate cosmetology techniques, theory, and industry best practices

• Administer and grade assignments, practical evaluations, and examinations
• Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with school policies and regulatory requirements

Position Overview

Moored Beauty Schools is seeking a passionate, licensed Cosmetology Instructor to join our team at Traverse City Beauty College. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to educating, mentoring, and inspiring future beauty professionals while maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment.

Under the supervision of the Campus Director, the Cosmetology Instructor is responsible for delivering classroom and clinic instruction, monitoring student progress, maintaining compliance with state regulations, and helping students develop the technical and professional skills necessary for success in the beauty industry.

Key Responsibilities
