Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a CT State Board of Education 090 teaching certificate.
• Experience teaching or substitute teaching preferred with ability to deliver lessons and assess student knowledge.
• Ability to access online curriculum/resources and present lessons using educational technology.

Responsibilities

• Teach Cosmetology across 11th and 12th grades, combining theory and hands-on practice.
• Instruct students individually and in groups using varied teaching methods.
• Assess student performance, behavior, and health and maintain classroom order.
• Prepare course objectives and outlines aligned with district curriculum guidelines and health department standards.
• Collaborate with committees and departments for professional development and program improvement.
