Job summary

Esd113 is seeking an experienced cosmetology instructor to lead instructional programs and supervise students in a school salon setting. You will develop curricula, demonstrate techniques, and coach students on client services while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

You will mentor students, collect and analyze performance data, and participate in professional learning communities to continually improve instructional practices at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools environment.

Qualifications

• Requires NC Cosmetics Art License and NC Cosmetology Board Certified Instructor License.
• Minimum 4 years of related work experience within past 5 years.
• Associate of Applied Science in Cosmetology preferred.
• Residency license(s) applicable as required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of subject matter and centers instruction on high expectations for student mastery.
• Develops and modifies lessons to meet student needs.
• Instructs and demonstrates cosmetic art techniques to students and live clients.
• Ensures safety procedures are observed in classroom, clinic, and dispensary.
• Maintains records of student hours and progress per NC Board requirements.
• Leads professional learning communities and collaborates with staff.
