Job summary

Lake Land College is seeking a Cosmetology Teacher to collaborate with the Director and Full-Time Cosmetology Teacher to ensure students receive maximum education in theory and practical skills. Supervise students in the classroom and clinic floor.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, keeping grades, staying with students during class and clinic, and pursuing licensure hours. Minimum Illinois Cosmetology Teacher license required; salon experience preferred. MS Office expertise expected.

Qualifications

• Illinois Cosmetology Teacher license is required.
• Experience as a stylist or salon owner preferred.
• Knowledge of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation rules is essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement classroom lessons, lectures, handouts, exams and demonstrations as directed.
• Maintain accurate student grades and submit to the Cosmetology Teacher for entry into the grade book.
• Remain with students during class and clinic periods to ensure supervision and safety.
• Attend Cosmetology Teacher meetings and complete timesheets per schedule.
