Qualifications

• Cosmetology or Barbering License required.
• Commitment to mastering both technical and business aspects of the salon industry.
• Interest in developing marketing and social media skills to grow hair portfolio and attract clients.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented, positive attitude.
• Ability to manage time effectively, handle multiple tasks, and meet program requirements, including weekly coursework.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
• Desire to grow within the Voss Salon brand and qualify for a stylist position upon program completion.

Responsibilities

• Provide core hair services (cutting, coloring, styling) with guidance from salon educators.
• Develop understanding of color theory and business skills for personalized client service.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and build lasting client relationships.
• Maintain a professional, organized workspace, and ensure salon cleanliness and standards.
• Use salon software to manage appointments, track client records, and assist with inventory.
• Complete weekly assignments and coursework to remain in good standing.
• Assist with stocking, cleaning and supporting team operations.
• Market services and build a hair portfolio using social media and other strategies to grow clientele.
• Stay updated on industry trends to prepare for transition to a stylist role.
• Cross-train on front desk responsibilities and shifts.
