Job summary

Coastal Alabama Community College seeks an Adjunct Instructor for CTE courses to plan, prepare, present, and evaluate classroom and/or laboratory instruction on a per-course basis for a single semester. This is a non-tenure track, part-time position determined by the Division Chairperson.

Salary is $593 per credit hour. Minimum qualifications include an associate degree in a technical field, five years of hands-on experience, and strong oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of hands-on work-related experience in subject matter taught.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops curriculum and plans for assigned course in coordination with the Division Chair.
• Ensures classes are held as scheduled and posts final exams at designated times.
• Maintains attendance records, enters grades, and performs course evaluations.
• Provides student advising and directs students to advisors or support services as needed.
• Keeps up-to-date on trends and best practices via professional development.
