West Georgia Technical College invites applications for a Cosmetology Adjunct Instructor to teach cosmetology courses in a classroom, lab, and field setting at Carrollton and other campus locations. The role involves creating lesson plans, delivering instruction, and aligning with industry trends, while maintaining accreditation standards.

Selected candidates will work mornings or evenings, Monday through Thursday, on a per-contact-hour basis.

Qualificações

• Diploma in Cosmetology from an accredited post-secondary institution or equivalent.
• Three (3) out of the past seven (7) years of field experience.
• Current Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers, Master Cosmetologist License.
• Cosmetology teaching experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Teaches Cosmetology courses in a classroom/lab/field environment that closely simulates the industry environment.
• Provides instruction in the theory and practical applications of Cosmetology.

May be required to attend professional development training as required for specific classroom or online course delivery. Teaches Cosmetology courses in a classroom/lab/field environment that closely simulates the industry environment while maintaining knowledge of current trends and developments in the field. Provides instruction in the theory and practical applications of Cosmetology. Measures program or departmental student learning outcomes for continuous student improvement and success. Hours are offered based on student enrollment each semester.Adjunct positions do not include benefits or a promise of future full-time employment.Special Instructions to Applicants:To be considered for the Adjunct Pool, applicants must upload transcripts, resumes, and certifications with their application. Adjunct Pool applications are for the current academic year, and a new application is required each academic year. Adjuncts are paid on a per-contact-hour basis. All courses are face-to-face unless otherwise indicated. Courses are offered Monday through Thursday during both morning and evening hours. Dual enrollment courses are offered Monday through Friday.
