Job summary

Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania – Elizabethtown Campus is currently hiring a Cosmetologist on a part-time schedule with benefits. The role runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 7:30am to 3:30pm.

You will perform cosmetology services for residents and other populations, maintain licensing and sanitation standards, schedule and bill services, and document client records. A strong service mindset and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Current cosmetology license with PA State Board required.
• Two years of working experience preferred.
• Commitment to ongoing skills development (two new technical skills per year).
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills, plus basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to PA Board licensing requirements and salon procedures.
• Clean and sanitize tools daily; set up and clean up each day.
• Schedule and process billing in computer systems; maintain client records.
• Assist with resident transportation when needed; provide quality customer service.
• Maintain clean, safe salon stations; report repairs to salon manager.
• Provide cosmetology services in salon and in‑home settings when required.

As a Cosmetologist, you will carry out our Mission of Love by performing cosmetology services for Masonic Village residents and other populations as required.

Our Cosmetologist Is Responsible For The Following

• Knowledge and adhere to all PA State Board of Cosmetology Licensing requirements for cosmetologists for proper procedures and processes for all salons. Demonstrate knowledge of Department of Health and Department of Human Services regulatory requirements.
• Clean and sanitize tools such as scissors, clippers, combs, brushes, etc. daily.
• Responsible for set up & clean up at the beginning and end of each day.
• End of every day empty soiled linens and put in proper laundry cart and take to the designated location.
• Responsible for daily scheduling and billing in computer systems.
• Update and maintain client records in the computer system for all services.
• Assist with resident transportation when needed in Health Care Center and Personal Care.
• Ensure quality customer service is being provided. Maintain each salon station with supplies and equipment keeping a professional appearance that is clean and safe. Report all repairs to the salon manager.
• Participate in Masonic culture training.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform cosmetology services, both in salon and in-home.

What You Need As a Cosmetologist

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Maintains a current cosmetology license with the PA State Board of Cosmetology.
• Two years of working experience preferred.
• Updating professional knowledge by learning two new technical skills per year to stay current with upcoming trends.
• Excellent customer service, written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
