Job summary

Boyne Mountain Resort is seeking a licensed Cosmetologist to provide hair styling, color treatments and spa services in a premier resort setting. You will work within spa protocols, ensure guest satisfaction, and participate in trainings.

Maintain sanitation, promote retail and home care products, and support the spa team. Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required; 18+ and a valid Michigan Cosmetologist license are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited cosmetology program.
• Eligible for Michigan Cosmetologist license.
• Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• At least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional cosmetology treatments in line with spa protocols and certification.
• Maintain equipment and supply usage to support cost controls.
• Promote home care programs and retail products.
• Uphold sanitation and sterilization standards per law and spa policies.

Responsibilities

The Cosmetologist's typical job functions include:

• Providing consistent professional treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices
• Caring for equipment properly and using proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls
• Having complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training guests in these areas
• Actively promoting home care programs, meeting minimum retail sales goals
• Upholding the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures
• Performing prep work and properly cleaning and restocking room as required
• Communicating to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention
• Actively promoting the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available
• Handling guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously
• Providing accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction
• Possessing ability to work without direct supervision
• Regularly attending, participating and supportingtrainings and staff meetings for the spa
• Assisting in all areas of spa operation as requested by management

Qualifications
