Job summary

SGS is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Associate - Cosmetics in the United States. The role focuses on technical support, regulatory compliance, and product testing to assist sales and operations in growing the cosmetics business.

A bachelor’s degree in a scientific field and relevant regulatory experience are required. You will stay current on federal and state laws, prepare test reports, and contribute to regulatory strategies for cosmetic, personal care, and household products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, microbiology or a related scientific field.
• 2–5 years of regulatory experience in cosmetics or personal care.
• Experience screening formulas and reviewing product labels for compliance.
• Knowledge of US cosmetics regulations and related testing services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to sales teams and account managers during client interactions.
• Support responses to tenders and projects from a regulatory perspective.
• Lead and support retailer programs for products within the business unit.
• Track open and incoming orders for local C&H laboratory.
• Prepare test plans, protocols and SOPs per regulatory/client requirements.
• Prepare reports, including ingredient and product label reviews per US/Canada laws.
• Train, support, and potentially lead sensory and consumer panel testing plans.
