Job summary

Sacbar is relocating its cosmetics R&D operations from El Segundo, CA to Carson, CA by year-end. The Lab Coordinator will support chemists and the process engineer by overseeing lab operations, maintaining equipment, and preparing samples for new product development.

The role emphasizes organization, safety, and cross-functional collaboration within a matrix organization, with duties spanning batching, stability support, and materials management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in chemistry or related sciences.
• Strong Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the R&D lab and perform routine housekeeping.
• Coordinate calibration and maintenance for lab equipment; liaise with maintenance or vendors.
• Order and manage lab consumables and packaging components to prevent stockouts.
• Assist stability coordinator with organization and labeling of stability/bulk retains and provide cross-training coverage.
• Support batch preparation and raw material qualification swaps for updated formulas.
• Maintain inventory of current raw materials, refilling, relabeling and ensuring storage locations.
