Job summary

Carvana’s Cosmetic Supervisor role leads a team of hourly associates in an Inspection Center, driving production targets while upholding quality standards. You will coach staff, manage workflow, and ensure safety and policy compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, computer literacy, and a valid driver’s license. Starting pay ranges from $32 to $40 per hour, based on experience, with opportunities for development within a rapidly growing company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience using computers.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrated functional expertise in Carvana’s reconditioning process.
• Understanding of current reconditioning processes and lean principles.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; lifting varies.
• Stand for extended periods; environment may be hot, cold, noisy, wet.
• Must use safety equipment (face shield, goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves).
• Ability to maintain high volume and quality in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to delegate tasks to team members.
• Clear and courteous communication, written and oral.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Ability to resolve complex issues with guidance.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
• Willingness to work variable schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage movement of cars into/out of the Inspection Center safely while meeting production and quality goals.
• Meet or exceed inventory production goals daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Oversee day-to-day team activities; identify strengths and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide coaching, development, and performance feedback to the team.
• Promote a work environment aligned with Carvana values and teamwork.
• Communicate expectations and performance clearly to team members.
• Prevent and resolve conflicts among team members.
• Monitor adherence to systems, policies, and performance standards.
• Review defects for incoming inventory and guide repairs or rejection as needed.
• Lead production teams and collaborate with the Inspection Center GM on repair decisions.
• Train team on Quality Control standards to reduce re-checks and delays.
• Identify and complete repairs efficiently to minimize re-work.
• Prioritize safety to minimize injuries and hazards in the shop.
• Manage multiple associates and support their development.
