Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in cosmetic formulation development and R&D.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related.
• Experience developing and modifying personal care, skincare, and haircare formulations.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, CTFA, PCPC, cGMP).
• Experience supporting scale-up and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Review PDRs with Sales to clarify requirements and ensure timely completion.
• Formulate OTC and non-OTC personal care, skincare, and haircare products.
• Manage multiple projects, prioritizing to meet deadlines.
• Prepare laboratory batches for customer evaluation and reformulation as needed.
• Conduct stability testing and reformulate when issues arise.
• Stay current with cosmetic ingredients, technologies, and trends.
• Provide technical support to customers and Sales, including meetings.
• Maintain GLP-compliant R&D documentation.
• Mentor junior chemists and new hires.
• Develop detailed lab-scale manufacturing processes and parameters.
• Collaborate with Regulatory to meet compliance.
