Position Objective

To assist customers in their shopping experience by providing them with beautifully decorated baked goods in the most efficient, friendly, and courteous manner possible.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Bakery Manager.

Status

This is a non-exempt position.

Knowledge

The following certifications, education, or training are required:

• A valid driver’s license for deliveries.
• A food handling permit obtained within the first 14 days of employment.
• Completion of ongoing training as listed on the Cosentino’s Learning Plan.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Skills & Essential Job Functions

• Implement Cosentino’s Customer Service Standards.
• Consult with customers to determine their needs and document orders accurately.
• Know products, procedures, and policies to answer customer questions courteously.
• Decorate bakery items neatly and creatively.
• Merchandise cases to ensure attractiveness and promote sales.
• Prepare, package, and label products efficiently.
• Rotate stock to prevent selling stale products.
• Operate, clean, and maintain cake decorating equipment.
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Resolve customer complaints professionally.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal skills.

Non-Essential Job Functions
