Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role keeps mining facilities functioning in outdoor, harsh environments, and requires safety as a priority. PPE is required when performing this work.

The position is based in Elko, NV, with responsibilities spanning repairs, HVAC/plumbing coordination, and working from blueprints. The candidate should be able to lift 90 pounds, lift and carry heavy loads, and be comfortable with overtime and weekend

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Excavation equipment experience preferred.
• 2 years previous construction and maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid drivers' license required.
• 4 years mining experience preferred.
• Overhead door repair experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 90 pounds required.
• Perform responsibilities with integrity under minimal supervision.
• Proven attention to detail with high accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
• Willing to work weekends and possible overtime.
• Willing to work in inclement weather conditions.

Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. Services Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for keeping mining facilities functioning and in good order. Work includes outdoor, mine setting, which may include exposure to large equipment, working on uneven surfaces, working in extreme temperatures. A successful candidate must demonstrate safety as a priority. Personal protective equipment is required when performing this work.

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively perform maintenance on industrial, commercial and residential facilities.
• Safely and effectively perform facility repair and remodeling.
• Safely and effectively perform concrete flat work, tile, drywall, painting and welding.
• Safely and effectively operate excavation equipment and tools.
• Safely and effectively perform roof repairs.
• Safely and effectively perform door and lockset repairs.
• Work closely with HVAC and plumbing technicians to perform needed replacement and repairs.
• Accurately read blueprints for facilities.
