Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a 2nd/3rd shift production operator to support corrugated sheet production for boxes. Join a team focused on safety, quality, and efficiency in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

You will set up and run machinery, perform quality checks, and operate a roll clamp or forklift as needed. The role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work overtime as scheduled.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Read and understand basic English.

• Strong safety background and good attendance.

• Minimum 2 years working on manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Member of a manufacturing machine crew making corrugated sheets for conversion to boxes.
• Set up and run machine to meet production goals.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure sheets meet customer specifications.
• Drive roll clamp and sit-down fork truck as needed.
• Maintain machine and work area cleanliness.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Read and understand basic English.
• Must be able to work all assigned overtime.
• Strong safety background and good attendance record.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Minimum 2 years working on manufacturing equipment.

This job is for 2 nd shift, 3pm - 11pm OR 3 rd shift, 11pm-7am

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience operating corrugated equipment.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting salary for position: $31.07 per hour.
• Bonus: Annual - Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
• Paid Vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
• Paid Holidays.
