Job summary

PCA, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking a forklift technician to join our corrugated packaging operation. This role moves product from trucks to staging areas, performs daily safety checks on the clamp truck, and helps maintain a zero-damage roll room with strong inventory control.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Move product from truck/railcar to staging area safely.
• Perform daily safety inspections of the clamp truck and maintain a clean environment.
• Maintain a zero-damage roll room and inventory integrity.
• Pick and stage rolls, load/unload trucks, and manage roll room inventory.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures on trailers.
• Maintain housekeeping and manufacturing practices.
• Lead responsibilities maintaining the roll room.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the product is moved from the truck/railcar to the staging area in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain and perform daily safety inspections of the clamp truck and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Maintain a zero damage roll room at all times.
• Pick and stage run-ready rolls for orders and load and unload trucks, while maintaining inventory integrity through proper handling and storage.
• Perform lockout/tag out procedures on trailers.
• Maintain good housekeeping and manufacturing practices at all times.
• This position will also have lead responsibilities maintaining the roll room

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED
• Successful candidate must be willing to work any shift.
• Certified industrial driver or ability to get certified in a timely manner.
• Ability to safely operate a powered forklift, maintain and perform daily safety inspections in regard to the clamp truck, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and perform lockout/tag-out procedures on trailers.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Starting salary for position: $29.52 per hour plus shift differential (2nd /3rd shifts)
• Bonus: Annual – Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
• Paid Vacation: 1 week per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
• Paid Holidays.
• Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision – and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
• Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
