Georgia-Pacific in Akron, OH is hiring a Production Supervisor to lead an operating team in a corrugated facility. You will drive safety, quality, and production targets while fostering teamwork and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has proven leadership in manufacturing, experience coaching staff, and the ability to manage through changes. The role includes rotating between 1st and 2nd shifts and collaborating across departments to meet on-time production goals.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising employees in manufacturing/industrial or military environment.
• Experience coaching and developing a team.
• Experience in corrugated packaging/converting.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead an operating team in safety, health, environmental, and quality compliance.
• Drive safety excellence through employee involvement, ownership, and accountability; identify hazards and implement mitigations; investigate incidents.
• Coach, train, and develop operations personnel in safety, quality, and production.
• Ensure best practices minimize waste at machine centers.
• Address issues and coordinate with other departments to ensure quality and on-time production.
• Plan, assign and direct work for all hourly production employees; appraise performance and provide feedback; resolve complaints; communicate results daily.
