Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's Owosso, MI Corrugated Box Plant seeks a Production Supervisor for the third shift (11:00 PM–7:00 AM) to lead the corrugated/converting team. You will coach the team, troubleshoot real-time issues, and drive safe, reliable operations while meeting throughput targets.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in manufacturing leadership, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop teams. A strong safety culture and collaboration with maintenance and quality are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading or influencing results in manufacturing, industrial operations, or military environments
• Demonstrated ability to develop team capability and set clear expectations
• Strong judgment, technical aptitude, and structured problem-solving to improve safety, quality, reliability, or operational performance
• Ownership mindset and focus on continuous improvement across people, processes, and performance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or manufacturing systems for data-driven decisions

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the corrugated/converting operations team to achieve targets in safety, quality, uptime, and throughput
• Drive continuous improvement by using data, observation, and structured problem-solving to reduce waste and increase reliability
• Troubleshoot converting performance, identify root causes, and implement sustainable countermeasures
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and downstream operations to ensure alignment and smooth handoffs across shifts
• Champion proactive safety leadership including hazard identification and root-cause investigations
• Monitor production data and performance trends to support informed decision-making
• Develop team capability through training and bench-strength building for future leadership roles
