Kinder Morgan Inc. is seeking a Corrosion Technician to operate and maintain cathodic protection facilities for pipelines and storage assets.

You will plan, implement, and monitor corrosion control activities, ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, and mentor teammates as needed. Responsibilities include data analysis, contractor supervision, testing, and documentation for regulatory reviews.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years pipeline experience.
• Technical or associate degree preferred for advanced responsibilities.
• Understand and operate all corrosion related instrumentation.
• Working knowledge of environmental and safety aspects of coating projects.
• Working knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic math; capable with company software.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and maintain cathodic protection facilities and corrosion control for pipelines and storage facilities.
• Record annual pipe-to-soil readings, rectifier readings, bond readings, and insulation effectiveness.
• Analyze data collected and make recommendations.
• Troubleshoot rectifier units and remote monitoring; perform interference testing.
• Design, install, operate, and maintain cathodic protection facilities on gathering systems, mainlines, and storage fields.
• Supervise contractors on rectifier installations and field surveys; complete job data books.
• Monitor pipeline condition via potentials, inspections, coupons, and inline tool data.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, bid documents; participate in corrosion reviews and federal inspections.
