Job summary

ORBIS Inc. is seeking a Corrosion Technician to support maintenance and planning for overhaul and repair of equipment on U.S. Navy aircraft carriers and surface ships. Work will be performed on board US Naval vessels in San Diego, CA.

The salary is $85-$105K per year. Must have 10 years in corrosion-related inspection/maintenance per CCAMM, plus NBPI/NACE Level 1, and 3 years corrosion inspection experience; U.S. citizenship and a secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 10 years of inspection, maintenance and repair of tanks and voids per CCAMM (T-9630-AB-MMD-010).
• NBPI coating inspection course or NACE Level 1 required.
• 3 years tank or corrosion inspection experience per CCAMM; specialized trades may substitute for up to 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for maintenance on Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) and related systems on Navy vessels.
• Lead the Find, Fix, and Train initiative—teaching Ship's Force operators and maintenance technicians.
• Support cleanliness, coatings inspections and CCIMS documentation for shipboard assets.
• Coordinate logistics and field support for overhauls and repairs on carriers and surface ships.
