Job summary

Intertek Houston seeks a Corrosion Manager to lead laboratory programs, ensure high-quality corrosion testing, and mentor junior staff. The role requires advanced degree in chemical sciences and hands-on experience with corrosion data analysis, HPHT equipment, and project oversight.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MS in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering, Chemistry, or other relevant scientific degrees. Ph.D. and 2+ years industry experience preferred.
• Specific knowledge of applied testing for the evaluation of corrosion, screening of inhibitors, measuring rate of corrosion, pitting, weight loss.

Responsibilities

• Design laboratory programs with deliverable timelines and continuously gain experience in project management skills.
• Develop a thorough understanding of Company’s technical capabilities.
• Discuss technical issues with Program or Project Managers, Lab Supervisors and lab technicians.
• Provide technical oversight and coordination of project engineering work.
• Submits Laboratory Work Instructions to Lab Managers or Supervisors.
• Monitors progress against project schedules and budgets.
• Responsible for preparation of technical reports as well as other project specific documentation as required.
• To assist in the training of less experienced employees; be a mentor.
