Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to background check and drug screening as required by law.

Job Description

As a Corrections Security Officer - Entry Authorization in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report security-related concerns, and provide professional communication and customer service. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Mon 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

Tue 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

Sun 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a correctional facility environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including facility grounds, access points, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry and exit in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
