Allied Universal in Greenville, SC is hiring a Correctional Security Guard - Unarmed to protect government facilities and staff. • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, contractors, and/or other authorized individuals by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities within a correctional government location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazardous conditions, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, maintain required logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify facility personnel and emergency responders according to established procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation, and communicate observations, concerns, and security-related information to supervisors and authorized staff.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, document observations, and provide professional service and communication. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
