Position Responsibilities

1. Ensure all needs are met within inmate housing units at SCI Waymart.
2. Plan and direct unit security and treatment programs.
3. Develop operational goals and procedures addressing the needs of the units.
4. Monitor housekeeping, security practices, and treatment services for compliance with DOC policies.
5. Supervise a multi-disciplinary team and resolve conflicts proactively.
6. Conduct staff meetings, perform inspections, and submit budget requests.
7. Exercise care, custody, and control over inmates at all times.

Work Schedule and Benefits

• Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
• No telework option.
• Eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
• Starting salary: $58,774.00 annually for new employees.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training:

• Three years of professional experience in correctional security, treatment, or related fields; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training, including two years of relevant experience.

Other Requirements:

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA.
• Meet PA residency requirements.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.
