As a Corrections Unit Manager for theDOC, you will have the opportunity to utilize your skill set while working for an agency that strives to support inmates by providing quality educational opportunities and treatment programs. Within this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring unit programs at SCI Coal Township, in addition to collaborating with leadership to develop and revise unit mission statements, operational goals, objectives, and procedures.
Excellent leadership skills are vital, as you will be supervising a multi-disciplinary staff and implementing the overall unit program. This professional provides training, performance appraisals, and professional development for all personnel assigned to the unit. You will also oversee the management of unit resources, provide input regarding budget development, monitor overall unit security, and serve as an accessible and responsive professional to address concerns of both staff and inmates.
