Job summary

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret policies/procedures and effectively prepare lesson plans and instruct accordingly.
• Knowledge of institutional security operations, equipment, and training techniques.
• Considerable experience in corrections or law enforcement.
• Experience supervising corrections staff.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, developing, delivering, evaluating training for all staff at the facility.
• Supervision of assigned training staff.
• Contributes to administration of performance management system for staff.
• Conducts inspections to maintain security, sanitation, and order at the institution.
• Interacts with management, staff, visitors, inmates, and the public to maintain orderly operations.
