Job summary

Maine State Prison in Warren seeks a Correctional Trades Supervisor to oversee purchasing and procurement operations, inventory for the facility warehouse, and supervision of four staff.

This role directs on-the-job training for residents, ensures materials are ordered and tracked, and ensures compliance with state procurement guidelines. Open Sept 9, 2026; Close Sept 22, 2026. Salary range is $28.39–$36.69 per hour with a $1.00/hour Direct Care Stipend.

Qualifications

• Four years of education, training, and/or experience in the specified trade, including one year supervising tradespeople.
• Knowledge of procurement guidelines and inventory control processes.
• Ability to prepare reports and monitor staff performance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and directs the correctional trades on-the-job training program, teaching residents a trade and completing projects.
• Estimates and orders materials needed for facility projects and daily operations.
• Tracks perpetual inventory for warehouse items and ensures product availability.
• Follows state procurement purchasing guidelines and processes.
