Job summary

Maine State Prison in Warren, ME seeks a Correctional Trades Supervisor to oversee the correctional trades on-the-job training program and supervise four warehouse staff. Position requires four years in the trade with at least one year of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of education, training, and/or experience in the specified trade, including one (1) year supervising tradespeople.
• Knowledge of inventory tracking & processes and ability to estimate item needs within the facility.
• Familiarity with state procurement purchasing guidelines and processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and directs the operation of a correctional trades on-the-job training program to teach residents a trade and complete projects at a facility.
• Estimates and orders materials needed to complete facility projects and daily operations.
• Tracks perpetual inventory for warehouse items.
• Follow state procurement purchasing guidelines and processes.
