Qualifications

• Licensure Requirements: TDOE-issued educator licensure; youth under 18 not graduated; ages 18–21 IDEA eligibility.
• Overview: TDOC Licensed Teacher delivering instruction to incarcerated individuals and collaborating with staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and Deliver Instruction: develop differentiated lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Assess Student Progress: administer and analyze assessments for placement and diploma attainment.
• Maintain Records and Compliance: keep student records and TDOC documentation with confidentiality.
• Support Student Success: provide academic and motivational support for goals and transitions.
• Collaborate with Staff and Stakeholders: work with education team and facility staff.
• Uphold Security and Supervision Standards: follow TDOC security protocols.
• Engage in Professional Development: pursue ongoing training and licensure compliance.
