Compensation ranges by credential, with a clear path for certification and a merit-based review process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a helping profession from an accredited college or university.
• Some counseling experience preferred.
• Must obtain certification within 24 months from first counseling date; acceptable credentials listed.
• Must obtain Georgia DOC clearance to work in corrections.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client interviews and assess substance use history.
• Evaluate treatment response and modify plans; manage caseloads.
• Provide didactic and individual counseling; support relapse prevention.
• Document care plans, discharge summaries, and aftercare referrals.
• Coordinate services to resolve crises and ensure regulatory compliance.
