Job summary

Travis County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a Corrections Specialist for Central Booking, TCCC Records and Classification. You will coordinate inmate housing, review court documents, and process bonds and cash releases while maintaining jail records and assisting with classifications.

The role requires four years of clerical experience or an equivalent combination, with willingness to work various shifts in a 24/7 operation and interact with incarcerated individuals. Located in Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• Office/clerical experience required.
• Administrative support duties including records handling and data entry.
• Strong communication and ability to coordinate with multiple agencies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inmate incarceration processes and review court documents.
• Update inmate records and prepare jail population reports.
• Process bonds, fines, and cash releases and maintain accurate records.
• Review criminal histories and conduct PREA and intake screenings.
• Operate jail records systems and assist with classifications and housing determinations.
