Job summary

State of Washington seeks a Corrections Specialist 3 (CS3) in Vancouver, WA, under the WFSE Article 4.7 internal transfer provisions. The role requires four years as a Community Corrections Officer or seven years total qualifying experience with a bachelor’s degree and three years’ professional case management in corrections or a related field.

The position is full-time in the Community Corrections Division, East Vancouver Office, with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 am–5:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Four years' experience as a Community Corrections Officer or seven years combined qualifying experience/education.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of professional case management in corrections or related field.
• Experience with field visits, written reports, case assessment, referrals or presenting in court.

Responsibilities

• Assess risk factors and design/monitor treatment plans.
• Maintain official records and track client progress and compliance.
• Refer clients to resources (chemical dependency, counseling, job training, etc.).
• Assist individuals who cannot access support systems.
• Perform classifications and determine requirements as needed.
