Job summary

State of Washington, Community Corrections Division, is seeking an internal transfer candidate for a permanent, full-time Corrections Specialist 3 (NX47) at the Everett Community Justice Center. Travel to WA State Prison Facilities is required, with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm schedule.

Minimum qualifications include 4 years as a Community Corrections Officer or a combination of education and 5 years of professional case management experience in corrections, plus demonstrated ability to

• Four (4) years of experience as a Community Corrections Officer within the Washington State Department of Corrections.
• Total Five (5) Years Of Professional Case Management Experience In Adult Or Juvenile Corrections Or Closely Related Field Which Includes At Least Three
• Three (3) years of professional case management experience in adult or juvenile corrections or closely related field which includes at least three field visits, meetings, and written documentation.

Responsibilities

• Making field visits.
• Facilitating meetings with multiple stakeholders.
• Preparing written correspondence, reports, and/or documents.
• Assessing cases and making recommendations.
• Referring people to appropriate resources.
• Presenting cases in court or hearings.
