Job summary

Qualifications

• Education and experience requirements: Associate degree or equivalent; or 3+ years as a corrections officer; or a mix of education/experience with leadership.
• Language, communication and judgment: ability to read, interpret policies, write reports, and communicate effectively under pressure.
• Certificates and licenses: CJIS certification; CPR/First Aid; training certifications as required by statute and MN DOC standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and coordinates jail shift activities and staff deployments.
• Performs booking, transport, and inmate-related duties with proper safety procedures.
• Sets up schedules, conducts inspections, and ensures compliance with jail policies and procedures.
• Maintains daily records, reports inmate movements and incidents, and supports administration.
