Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern Rockies in Gillette, WY seeks a Security Tech to monitor residents under DOC and BOP jurisdiction inside the facility and in the community.

You will perform intake, ensure policy compliance, conduct searches, monitor calls and visits, administer drug tests, document incidents, supervise rounds, and assist with transport to work and programs, while upholding safety and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive a 15-passenger transportation van.
• Must pass a background check with the Wyoming Department of Corrections and Bureau of Prisons.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents comply with DOC, BOP, and VOA policies.
• Complete intake process for new residents.
• Monitor and document resident program compliance inside the facility and in the community.
• Conduct contraband searches on residents, dorms, and vehicles.
• Monitor resident phone calls and visits with approved visitors.
• Perform resident drug testing.
• Document incidents and submit timely reports.
• Monitor resident medication and health-related needs.
• Conduct facility rounds, headcount, and ensure a clean, hazard-free environment.
• Transport residents to work and programming.
