Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern Rockies is seeking a Security Tech to monitor residents under Department of Corrections (DOC) and Bureau of Prisons (BOP) jurisdiction inside the facility and in the community. Responsibilities include completing the intake process, documenting compliance, conducting searches, monitoring communications, performing drug tests, and transporting residents to work and programming.

A background check and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a residential setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficient with computer and Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents comply with DOC, BOP, and VOA policy.
• Complete intake process for new residents.
• Monitor and document resident program compliance inside the facility and in the community.
• Conduct contraband searches on residents, dorms, and vehicles.
• Monitor resident phone calls and visits.
• Perform resident drug testing.
• Transport residents to work and programming.
• Document incidents and submit timely reports.
