Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern Rockies is seeking a Security Tech to monitor residents under DOC and BOP jurisdiction, both inside the facility and in the community. You will enforce policies, complete intakes, monitor programs, and conduct safety checks across shifts.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, basic computer skills with Microsoft Office, and the ability to pass a background check. Travel is minimal; two days off weekly.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to drive a 15-passenger van.
• Must pass a background check with the Wyoming DOC and BOP.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents comply with DOC, BOP, and VOA policy.
• Complete intake process for new residents.
• Monitor and document resident program compliance inside and in the community.
• Conduct contraband searches of residents, dorms, and vehicles.
• Monitor resident phone calls.
• Perform resident drug testing.
• Monitor resident visits with approved visitors.
• Document incidents and submit timely reports.
• Monitor resident medication.
• Conduct inspection rounds and headcounts; ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Transport residents to work and programming.
