GEO Corrections & Detentions is seeking a supervisory professional to oversee custody and security operations in a detention facility. You will supervise security staff, ensure adherence to policies, and respond to emergencies to safeguard staff and detainees.

The role requires 3 years of correctional experience with 1 year in supervision, strong leadership, and the ability to manage high-stress situations while maintaining facility safety and order.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework and advanced training in behavioral sciences, correctional services or related field preferred.
• Three (3) years of experience working in a correctional setting. One (1) year of management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be mature, flexible, intellectually alert, able to command the respect and confidence of detainees/inmates and staff and possess a high tolerance to mental stress.

Responsabilidades

• Supervises security/control activities and staff in an assigned area, ensuring maximum facility coordination in detainee supervision and safety.
• Develops and implements policies, procedures and regulations for custody, security and/or treatment of detainees/inmates.
• Responds to major unusual occurrences and facilitates prompt and appropriate assistance to detainees/inmates.
• Directs the work of other employees, including hiring, evaluating performance, training, and disciplinary actions.
