HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is seeking a Department of Corrections Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care within the DOC framework. You will collaborate with providers and the care team to deliver comprehensive nursing care following established models and standards of practice.

Responsibilities include admission assessments, medication administration, timely documentation, and patient education.

Competenze

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing (ADN or higher).
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
• Current BLS Health Care Provider certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• At least 6 months RN work experience.
• Prior Acute Care/Hospital Medical/Surgical RN experience strongly preferred.
• Must be comfortable working around convicted prisoners (security guards present).

Mansioni

• Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications and document care in the medical record; monitor responses.
• Provide responsive care by addressing patient requests and anticipating needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up; translate medical terminology when needed.
