Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Springer, NM. The RN will work in collaboration with healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and facility administrators to provide routine and emergency care in a correctional setting.

Requirements include an active RN license in the state, at least one year of correctional health care experience preferred, and current CPR where applicable.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred.
• CCHP-RN Certification preferred.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to incarcerated population in correctional facility setting.
• Coordinate with healthcare staff and correctional officers to deliver routine and emergency care.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the well-being of the incarcerated population.The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specific challenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing care to their patient population. This care includes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility setting.

Minimum Requirements:
