Job summary

Amergis, a trusted healthcare staffing partner, seeks a Correctional Registered Nurse for travel assignments in Nebraska. You will deliver routine and emergency care within correctional facilities, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the health and safety of incarcerated patients.

Requirements include an active RN license in the state of practice, and one year of correctional health care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in correctional health care settings preferred.
• Current RN license in the practicing state.
• CPR certification if applicable.

• Provide routine and emergency health care to incarcerated individuals.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, officers and administrators to ensure well-being.
• Adhere to all professional standards of practice and state/federal regulations.

Job description

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with otherhealthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensurethe well-being of the incarcerated population.The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specificchallenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing careto their patient population. This careincludes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facilitysetting.

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which thenurse practices
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experiencepreferred
• CCHP-RN Certification preferred
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
