Job summary

Amergis Staffing is seeking a Correctional Registered Nurse to provide routine and emergency health care in correctional facilities. Working with healthcare teams, corrections officers, and administrators, you will address the unique challenges of the custody setting.

Required is an active RN license in the practice state, with at least 1 year of correctional health care experience preferred and CCHP‑RN certification preferred. Travel assignments across NC locations are available.

• CCHP-RN certification preferred.

Job description

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with otherhealthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensurethe well-being of the incarcerated population.The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specificchallenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing careto their patient population. This careincludes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facilitysetting.

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which thenurse practices
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experiencepreferred
• CCHP-RN Certification preferred
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
