Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Correctional Registered Nurse to join travel assignments across Illinois facilities. The RN will collaborate with healthcare teams, correctional staff, and facility administrators to deliver routine and emergency medical care in secure settings.

Requirements include an active RN license in the state, 1 year correctional health care experience preferred, CPR may be required, and eligibility to meet federal/state regulations.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred.
• CCHP-RN Certification preferred.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, correctional officers and administrators to provide care.
• Address challenges of the correctional environment while treating patients.
• Provide routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility setting.
