Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Salem, OR. The role collaborates with healthcare professionals, correctional officers and administrators to ensure the well-being of the incarcerated population, delivering both routine and emergency care in a correctional facility setting.

The ideal candidate will hold a current RN license for the state, have preferred correctional health care experience, and meet regulatory requirements,

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state of practice.
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred.
• CCHP-RN certification preferred.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the well-being of the incarcerated population. The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specific challenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing care to their patient population. This care includes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred
• CCHP-RN Certification preferred
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
