Job summary

Amergis, formerly Maxim Healthcare Staffing, is seeking a Corrections Registered Nurse to join our travel nursing team. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and facility administrators to deliver quality care in a secure environment.

Responsibilities include providing routine and emergency health services within a correctional facility, adhering to federal, state, and local requirements, and maintaining patient safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state of practice (minimum).
• Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Job description

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the well-being of the incarcerated population. The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specific challenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing care to their patient population. This care includes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility setting.

Minimum Requirements
